Vepsäläinen is one of the premium furniture and decoration retailers in Finland. They also offer services within interior design for both pri- vate consumers and businesses.

When Vepsäläinen in 2015 started to experience difficulties with their current logistics partner they began to look for an alternative. They wanted to find someone that focused only on furniture logistics and with good customer service. And they didn’t have to look far.

“We knew about LGT Logistics already, how they work and that they were trustworthy” says Marko Ikola, purchasing director at Vepsäläinen Oy. “Our old partner was a large multinational firm without furniture expertise, LGT Logistics is a far better match for us.”

Warehouse, consolidation and shop delivery

We handle and store the goods that are not in Vepsäläinens central warehouse in Espoo and provides line haul transportation from our ware- house to their stores around Finland. We also store and handle seasonal products, like garden furniture.

“LGT Logistics are extremely flexible and solves any problem that might occur. It’s like a family owned company and everybody at Vepsäläi- nen that has any contact with them are very pleased. Compared to our old partner, the customer service is much more personal. But to be honest, most of the time I don’t even think about LGT. And that’s good, if you don’t have to think about logistics, that means everything really working fine” says Marko Ikola.
