LGT Logistics A/S (“LGT”), part of NTG Nordic Transport Group A/S (“NTG”), has signed an agreement to acquire the operations of Thortrans A/S (“Thortrans”).

Thortrans, established in 1972 in Randers, Denmark, is a family-run business with over 50 years of experience in furniture and kitchen logistics. The company offers a comprehensive range of services, including handling, storage, and transportation, and operates in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway under the ConWay brand. This acquisition also includes a modern, strategically located facility in Randers.

This move aligns with NTG’s vision of becoming a leader in end-to-end furniture logistics, building on recent acquisitions such as RTC and Schenker Italiana’s land-based furniture logistics division. By combining Thortrans’ strengths with LGT’s capabilities, the integration will enhance the service offering for both current and future clients.

To ensure continuity, Thortrans’ co-owners, Henrik and Lars Kristensen, will maintain leadership roles within the unified structure.

With its strong reputation in Danish furniture and kitchen logistics, Thortrans complements LGT’s existing Nordic offerings. We also see significant opportunities to grow our kitchen service platform through this acquisition.”

Thortrans is projected to contribute approximately DKK 120 million to LGT’s revenue in the next year.

The transaction, signed on November 29, 2024, is subject to regulatory approvals under merger control and Thortrans’ ongoing reconstruction process. Once finalized, Thortrans’ activities will integrate fully into LGT Logistics A/S, further strengthening its presence in the Nordic market.
